    This Exios is an alternative to our Ex Strain Relief for non armored cable. It is rated Ex-d and Ex-e for -60°C /-76°F temp rating – Silicon is the answer! This Exios style Gland has ATEX & IECEx Approvals. CSA . Available sizes: M16, M20, M25, M32, M40, M50, M63, M75 and M90. NPT 3/8″ ½”, ¾”, 1″, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 2″, 2 ½”, and 3″.

    A2F in NPT: All Hummel Exios Ex-d style Glands and Ex-d Strain Relief in NPT have elongated threads. Although not according to UL 1203, they are according to EN 60079-1 or IEC 60079-1, which addresses ANSI B1.20.1./1.20.3. ANSI (American National Standards Institute) a NA spec which UL uses.

    With the EXIOS A2F, HUMMEL continues to follow the successful design of the EXIOS range of cable glands. This model is especially designed for unarmored and braided cables for the use in hazardous areas Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 20, Zone 21 and Zone 22, where durability and quality is a must. Braid and cable jacket are fed into the Enclosure where the braid must be terminated inside.

    The EXIOS A2F incorporates the time-proven HUMMEL clamping system, which offers a large clamping range in a small gland size. Therefore a smaller gland size can often be choosen and cost effective.

      for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
    • ATEX gets its name from the French title of the 94/9/EC directive:
      Appareils destinés à être utilisés en ATmosphères EXplosibles
    • The regulations apply to all equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres,
      electrical or mechanical, including protective systems. There are two categories of
      equipment I for coal mining and II for industrial applications.
    • Once certified, the equipment is marked by the ‘CE’ (meaning it complies with ATEX and all other relevant directives) and ‘Ex’ symbol to identify it as approved under the ATEX directive.
    • Ex-e = Explosionproof (Increased Safety)
    • Ex-d = Flameproof (Combustible Environment)
