Job Description: Territory Sales Representative
Summary
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will focus on supporting current business and opening new accounts as well as growing existing customer accounts in your assigned territory. Our sales approach emphasizes superior product knowledge, pro-active prospecting/cold calling/account re-activation, building quality relationships of trust with customers and colleagues, combined with world class follow up. You will be the problem solver and solutions expert for your customers.
The Territory Sales Representative supports domestic customers, distributors, and manufacturer reps in conjunction with agreed sales strategies and territory.
The Territory Sales Representative reports to the VP of Transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Generating revenue and meeting sales targets through B2B sales
- Prospect and develop new customer accounts
- Travel to train/develop improve selling techniques through distributor network.
- Make sales calls with or without distribution partners and independent reps.
- Work with OEM engineers to spec product into BOM
- Analyze customers/accounts to develop a plan to expand customer base
- Assist in developing new accounts
- Support customers with application requirements
- Sample and quote as necessary
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Assist in analyzing existing and potential customers into vertical markets (product based)
- Use CRM to plan and record daily, weekly, and monthly activities
- Participate in periodic discussions about forecasts and strategies with sales & marketing depts
- Become a product specialist/expert for one or more of Sealcon’s product lines
- Develop and qualify leads within a respective territory to drive sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of component sales with a mechanical aptitude and/or practical work experience
- Understanding/experience selling components direct and through a distribution network
- Demonstrate ability to develop and implement process enhancements
- Excellent in-person and written communication skills
- Experience using Video Conferencing Tools (Like Ring Central) for training and relationship building.
- Experience using a CRM tool for documentation and tracking of customers lifecycles
- Comfortable with public speaking (webinars, trainings, etc.)
- Excellent prospecting and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Willing to travel overnight for business approximately 50% a month Monday through Friday
- Strong work ethic with long term goals, self-driven and motivated
- Ability to work independently
- Solution oriented, professional, team player, flexibility
- Ability to make and set appointments with clients and prospects

Compensation
- This position is salary. This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses.
Physical and Time Demands
- The ability to work full time (minimum 40 hours per week)
- Willing to travel as needed, domestic 50% + monthly occasional international (North America)
- Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willing and able to be on the phone a large portion of the day.
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds for demonstration equipment and marketing materials

Job Description: Inside Technical Sales Specialist
Summary
The Inside Technical Sales Specialist plays a fundamental role in achieving customer progress and revenue growth objectives. This person is comfortable making a high volume of calls daily across all 4 time zones, working with our Territory Sales Representatives to generate interest, qualifying prospects, convert quotes to invoices, closing sales with a focus on customer partnership. Additionally, this role is responsible for Facilitating Remote Training, Data Analytics and Marketing responsibilities as needed.
Extensive product knowledge is a must. This person is motivated and wants to problem solve as well as reach goals. This position requires phone and e-mail communication in a fast-paced environment. Sales may not be immediate due to the design-in cycle, stage of the customer in the sales pipeline lifecycle and all level accounts must be worked on continuously, not just the high return accounts.
The Inside Technical Sales Specialist reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to promote specific products to specific vertical market segments in coordination with a companywide marketing plan
- Eagerness to hunt for business and ensure the funnel always grows. Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails
- Receive transferred calls from customer service
- Take care of difficult/large inquiries as well as existing projects already in progress
- Act in a professional problem-solving capacity
- Support sales representatives and distributors with technical questions
- Works to support all regions, territory, state(s), top accounts, etc.
- Owns leading all special call campaigns provided. Within timeline and within budget to exceed sales goals.
- Coordinates, Plans, Facilitates and manages follow up of all remote trainings.
- Meet quarterly quota for the company, customer, product group as well as company goals
- Responsible for tracking progress on individual goals via CRM entries
- Participate in trainings as required to meet overall objectives
- Work towards the same company objectives – growth & profit
- Other duties as assigned
Other Duties:
- Responsible for any national support as needed
- Persistence: Being able to bounce back if you lose or don’t close a sale will be crucial for this position
- Collaborative: Able to easy work across groups with ease
- Communication: Able to speak in a friendly tone with customers, listening to their needs and communicate further options for them
- Pro-Active: Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, preparing quotations
- Flexibility and Time management: Takes pride and is able to manage
- Retain and expand Business: Develop accounts by checking customer’s purchase history; suggesting related and new items; explain technical features
Requirements:
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in component sales
- Sales distribution experience a plus
- Strong phone presence and experience making a high volume of daily outbound calls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness to learn and grow as an effective technical sales representative
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Experience using Video Conferencing tools (like Ring Central) is a plus
- Experience with CRM or similar Customer Management Tools
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work with people at all levels with independence in opinion and integrity
- Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult customer situations and respond immediately to customer inquiries.
